Teachers receive the Gospel Project curriculum in advance, including a full script and all materials needed for the lesson. Use the script to teach the lesson, lead discussion and prayer, and guide the overall flow of the class.

Class Teachers serve during one of three Sunday morning services: 9:00, 10:00, or 11:00, based on availability, and may serve once a month or more.

Worship Leaders serve during one of three Sunday morning services: 9:00, 10:00, or 11:00, based on availability, and may serve once a month or more.

Coordinate crafts and games aligned with the lesson theme to engage kids through creative, interactive activities.

Leaders are responsible for maintaining a fun yet safe environment for all participants. Encourage students to participate and behave in a Christ-like manner.

Activities are typically staff-led, and leaders are not required to participate but are encouraged to be available to students and provide accountability for student behavior while students represent Manassas Baptist.

Leaders may be asked to drive passenger vans and will require a full background check to be eligible for inclusion on our driver list. 

Research options for quarterly youth outings, special events,  and coordinate treats for celebration nights. The coordinator will provide information while the ministry leader handles payment and any pickup required.

The coordinator needs to consider keeping costs low for families with limited finances while making sure activities are age-appropriate for teens.

The coordinator should also help maintain a list of alternate group leaders and trip volunteers and assist in arranging for co-leaders' availability.

The band advisor should have experience with a variety of instruments and basic audio setups. There is no expectation to teach instruments, but helping students with their playing is a plus.

The advisor needs to be able to help coach vocalists and provide direction to help our singers achieve their best. Vocal coaching experience would be highly valued.

Help direct the best use of technology to enhance worship and encourage students to participate fully in worship with enthusiasm and joy.

This is a new role, and the responsibilities are negotiable.

Training in choral direction or comparable experience is necessary to develop teen vocal skills.

Recommend and take the lead on musical selection while  coordinating with the ministry director on resources for necessary resources, including accompaniment.

Volunteers serve in a variety of roles throughout the shift, including greeting and logging clients, inspecting bags and containers at entry, assisting with shower facilities, preparing and distributing meals and beverages, and supporting cot setup and takedown. Throughout the shift, all volunteers are asked to remain attentive to the safety and well-being of clients and fellow volunteers and to report any concerns, disturbances, or signs of substance use or tension to the Team Lead immediately.

Each shift begins with a general meeting and prayer before dinner is served. A Team Lead will oversee the shift, assign roles, field questions, document incidents, and serve as the point of contact for disturbances or emergencies.

Volunteers assist with stocking shelves and serving clients during food distribution. The pantry operates on a walk-in basis, and volunteers play a key role in creating a welcoming experience for guests. 

Volunteers serve in one of two capacities. The Pit Crew assists with sorting and restocking clothing during the week, while the Floor Crew serves on Wednesday evenings, assisting clients directly. All volunteers help ensure that guests are welcomed and well cared for during their visit. 

Hosts may be called upon to help coordinate refreshments or meals, assist with setup and cleanup, and be present to welcome and assist guests throughout the event.

Because needs can arise with little notice, we are looking for individuals who are flexible, dependable, and especially gifted with a heart of compassion and hospitality.

Volunteers work as part of a team during the traditional and contemporary services, assisting with sound, presentation software, and camera operation. No prior experience is required — we are looking for individuals who are willing to learn and grow in these skills. Strong computer skills are helpful but not necessary.

We are looking for instrumentalists and vocalists willing to serve at either or both services. Musicians and singers are expected to attend rehearsals on time and come prepared, having learned their parts in advance in order to make the most of the time together.

Ushers play an important role in helping Sunday services run smoothly. Duties include greeting members and guests at the door, assisting with seating, distributing bulletins or programs, and collecting the offering. Ushers also help direct foot traffic, answer questions, and ensure guests feel welcome and cared for from the moment they arrive. Being attentive, friendly, and dependable are key qualities for this role. 

Volunteers assist with answering phones, greeting and directing visitors, distributing mail, and maintaining supplies and the break room.

Additional tasks include printing, copying, scanning, and shredding, as well as assisting with mailings.

Volunteers also help maintain Sunday School records and attendance, print and prepare bulletins, and support the Front Office Coordinator as needed.

A positive friendly attitude is essential. 

Coordinators are responsible for obtaining shoeboxes from Operation Christmas Child and making them available to the congregation at both Sunday services.

This includes coordinating storage of boxes, providing instructions to members, and organizing the final delivery.

Coordinators may also host an optional packing party to encourage participation and build excitement around the ministry.

Volunteers assist with projects such as electrical work, painting, and other odd jobs around the facilities. Whether you are a skilled tradesperson or simply enjoy DIY work, there is a place for you on this team.
